Bagshot 3s V Datchet 4s
Deadly Tea fails to inspire..
On a sombre day with the awful news from events in Manchester, this weeks report will be shorter and lighter in mood than usual (if that is possible)
Pitch was wet after heavy shower and looked like a good landing strip for ducks. Both teams keen to play after a half hour delay. Toss won and we inserted Datchet.
Excellent bowling from young Jack R (Mini G) opening up with Chuckles. Pick of the bowling bunch Mighty Mike White 4-44

Datchet bowled out for 153 of just over 35 overs. Some amazing catches, especially the one by mighty White off his own bowling.
Deadly Hedley Tea consumed with gusto.
The reply did not get off to a good start as Rick Medlock was dismissed 2nd ball played on to a low one. Darren Noel (opening the batting as his legs would have seized up from keeping for the first time in about 5 years) soon set about the Datchet bowling. The Great Wall that is Santosh stepped up to no. 3 and was dismissed for 3. The skipper and Baz (DN) put on a reasonable partnership, but was next to go for 42 bowled by a Shokar (that's his name, not poor spelling) followed soon by me.
Mini G got 18, but the tail failed to wag as we as we only made 111 in reply.
Bowling and fielding excellent. Batting needs improvement from all!
Maybe an away trip to Hayes will sort everything out...
