Not a drop in sight
But the wicket was wet ?
Who left the sprinkler on will always remain a mystery as Merrow visited the Field of Remembrance. Thanks to them for agreeing to still play and we decided that all overs would be from 1 end. Our visitors won the toss and it was no surprise they fielded. There was early movement that accounted for James W but Adit and Josh batted sensibly and when Adit retired the tail managed to push the score up to a respectable 139. With the wicket now dry and the outfield quick a top effort would be required to defend the total. That is exactly what we got as some outstanding ground fielding and catching always kept our visitors in check and on the back foot and in the end it was a comfortable win. Well done to each of the team, all of who played really well and a fantastic win with just 10 players, including one with a broken finger.
