Bagshot 1st XI vs Amersham 2nd XI

A bad day at the office is the best way to describe what happened at the Bagga on Saturday.

Completely outplayed by our promotion rivals has made the fight to reach level 2 all the more difficult.
With a bowler heavy 11 we won toss and fielded, but everything was lack lustre throughout, we fielded particularly poorly and no one really bowled their best, Will gave his all in 21 overs and Adam took 5 wickets in his two spells, but the visitors batted extremely well, skipper got 80 and the no3 a chanceless hundred, Amersham declared on 288-6 after the allotted 52 overs.

In reply we lost two early wickets at 8-2, then were 65-5 when Rummage was out for 38 in his new role opening the batting. Then the allrounders took over with Brad (45) and Will making his first 50 for the ones, along with Adam and Andy adding useful contributions saw us limp to 202 and maximum batting points.

Back to drawing board, we stay top, but now level with next weeks opponents Hayes who we play away to.

MOM very difficult between Adam and Will, Wills 50 and bowling spell of 21 overs just shaded it for me.
