Late Report!! Bagshot Gunned down by Windsor

Bagshot Windsor Castle'd.

Sorry, . Pressures of work an all...

It all started really well.... Toss won, Chuckles and Matt Alexander kept the openers tied down on a flat good looking wicket. Chuckles, following his lengthy spell from last week and surviving, the skipper asked him for more.... A straight 24 overs. 24-3-68-1
Epic effort.
As Santosh had been nutmegged by a ball travelling less than 5MPH, I felt he should gain revenge by bowling following Matt's excellent opening 7 overs. Revenge is sweet and he had the opener caught at extra cover by a leaping Funnell. Matthew clung on well to earn Santosh his wicket.
Their number 3 had got 131* last week and possibly this was due to boring the opposition into submission with his pre-every ball ritual of step four paces to leg, tap the right pad, check the pocket, walk back mark the guard, tap, tap,tap...
Only one way to try to remove this fellow, so we brought on "Tommy" Gun-preet. Started really well and had the batsmen bamboozled firing the ball both ways.. A half tracker (or maybe tracer) shot straight at Chuckles was spilt. Tommy did get a wicket though, as their number 4 danced down the wicket, and Ryan whipped off the bails. Matt Funnell also had a short spell before Matt Alexander (Mr Noughty) finished off the innings with Chuckles the other end hardly out of breath.
A run out off the the last ball at least ensured their number 3 has an average, even if it is 203....
Windsor 168-4 of 47 overs. Should be a doddle..

Batting.
Not good. Awful.... Even when their opening bowler went off injured, they only needed their two grenade lobbers to start and finish us off. Ryan Funnell 19 and the skipper 29 were the only players to make double figures out of a measly 72.
All that was left was to wave to the Queen as we queued out the car park and drove past the horse show next door to make our way back to the club with our tails between our legs.
MOM. Chuckles. Durecell man (or maybe we can call him Chucklebunny?).
Excuse any typos, done in a hurry.
Much better match report coming from the Vice Skipper shortly for last Saturday's game against Eversley!
