We welcomed local rivals, Sandhurst on a rare dry day. Batting first, as has been the norm, runs were quite hard to come by early on. Dan was joined by Rick at 30-2 and despite protestations from the home crowd, they built a century partnership over the next twenty overs or so. Dan top scoring with 85, late runs from Geoff and Gabs saw us reach 205 off a spirited Sandhurst attack.
Josh and Bomber made early inroads as Sandhurst started at a sluggish pace. Their opener, Panesar was the main source of runs until he was joined by Hill, who took advantage of any loose deliveries. Jason removed Panesar and Bernie (Charles) took a wicket thanks to a smart legside catch from Max.
Jason soon found the right line and very quickly worked his way through the rest of their batsmen as they subsided to 136, taking seven wickets in just nine overs.
MOM goes to Jason with both Dan and Rick deserving a mention for their efforts with the bat and taking catches.
