Sunday side fall short at Chessington

On a glorious sunny Sunday, we travelled to Chessington.
Bowling first, Gabs removed their skipper early thanks to Dan deflecting an attempted slip catch straight into Jonny's hands.
We found wickets hard to come by in the middle of their innings, our cause not helped by a few dropped catches. They finished on 214 after 40, two wickets each for Jonny and Dan.
Matthew and Stu got us off to a steady start before their skipper snaffled the first of three slip catches to remove Stu. Wickets fell steadily throughout our reply with only Matthew and Ryan making major contributions. Ryan reaching a positive and unbeaten fifty just before we were dismissed inside 35 overs.
