On one of the hottest days so far, our West Indian visitors won the toss. Losing James to injury in his first over, Mikey was called into action and produced an impressive spell as they smashed the ball to all parts.
They finished on 235 off their 35 overs, their opener just missing out on a century whilst Mikey dismissed last year's centurion with a slower ball which totally beat him. Their total could have been higher had he not taken six of the seven wickets that fell.
The 1stXI opening pair of JG and Doyley got us off to a flier, JG top scoring with 70. Once they departed, our wickets fell at regular intervals as we tried to keep up with the run rate, falling thirty runs short with James unable to bat.
