Adit's at it again

On leaving a wet and overcast club, none of us believed that we would play any cricket, let alone finish the game. We were greeted on arrival by drier but not much brighter conditions. The pitch had a lush outfield and fairly long boundaries so it was not easy to score fours in the damp conditions, but our batsmen made the most of our hosts lack of speed in the field.
Batting first, Adit continued his fine form after his impressive 2nds debut with another fifty, ably supported by Taz and Max as we reached exactly 200 off our forty overs.
Our hosts reply was stifled by the lack of pace in our bowling attack and having some much younger bodies in the field. They never really threatened our target.
Josh and Jonny bowled miserly spells as they ended 60 runs short. Credit goes to their opener who managed to bat the full forty overs despite the miserable weather and our best efforts with the ball.
