Crowthorne and Crown Wood Chase 227 to win

With the Sunday XI winning the toss and batting Stu fell cheaply C&B in the 3rd over, Calvin and Dan Lewis (opening his account 10 years removed from his last cricketing experience with a lovely 4 clipped through mid-wicket) also both came and went. Taz and Josh Balcombe batted nicely together before Taz unfortunately holed out to deep mid-on for 93. The two youngsters Josh and Adit then each put on 46 and 42 respectively to steer us towards what we believed should be a competitive total of 226-7.

After tea Skilton made an early breakthrough bowling the opener in the first over. This however brought number 3 Cartridge to the crease who proceed to smash the ball to all parts hitting 13 sixes in a rapid fire innings of 113 before holing out to Stu at mid-wicket off of skipper Geoff's flighted legspin. The damage had been done though and with number 5 Allwright; who had taken a back seat during the partnership with Cartridge, hitting a solid 58 not out Crowthorne comfortably made their way to the target required.
