Batting first, an unusual looking batting line up misfired against our old friends from Hook & Southborough. At 90odd for six, the visitors were in a strong position but the Baggies lower order soon changed the game. A century partnership between Stu, (who made his first ton) and Matt A (unbeaten fifty on sunday debut) saw us post a healthy 226 at tea.
Early wickets fell to Brad and the skip as we took the rest at regular intervals, only one batsman reaching fifty before falling to a sharp catch at gully from Stu.
Matt followed up his runs with two wickets and two catches before Doyley enjoyed his first bowl for the Baggies, taking three including the old high full toss (no ball), followed by a full straight one "trick".
A comfortable win in the end with Matt A putting in a strong performance which would have won the MOM nomination if Stu hadn't scored a century.
