Baggies shot down by local rivals
James White just misses out on fifty as Aldershot prevail
A new fixture this week with Aldershot being our visitors (turning up with a stronger team than i'd hoped). They won the toss and put us into bat, we soon lost both Geoff and Matt to their opening bowlers. Stu and Matthew led a recovery before we slumped to 80odd for 6.
In walked James "the whirlwind" White and Chris Floater
, who proceeded to put on fifty runs to resurrect our innings and give us a total to defend. With three balls left, James needed three for his maiden fifty, sadly he couldn't find the boundary and was run out off the last ball for a well made 47.
Chasing 176, Aldershot made light work of it, despite our best efforts. The game ending with their youngster hitting the winning runs.
MOM undoubtedly James ("big time Susan, Jimmy, the Whirlwind, mini spud") White
Credit goes to Jamie, their skipper for making sure everybody got a game.
